Environmental Initiatives 
Providing safe and secure ingredients 
We are committed to thorough safety and hygiene management by regularly conducting food hygiene training sessions led by external experts and inspecting the HACCP-based hygiene management status of departments that handle food.

Room amenities
At AoAwo Naruto Resort, they offer hairbrushes made from rice husk biomass material.
Toothbrushes and razors are provided in the guest rooms. 
The body towels are made from 100% natural cotton, making them an environmentally friendly amenity.

Implementation of selective non-exchange of linens 
At our hotel, a vast amount of water and detergent is used to clean linens that have only been used once a day. To conserve water and electricity resources and reduce the environmental burden from wastewater, we are promoting a program where guests staying multiple nights can indicate their preference for no linen changes and no cleaning service using a special card.
Detoxification of wastewater 
Naruto Town, where the resort is located, does not have a complete sewage system. Therefore, the hotel is using a dedicated septic tank to neutralize the wastewater discharged from the facility.


Reducing fossil fuel use and making efficient use of energy 
●We promoted the conversion of building lighting to LEDs, achieving 80% completion by April 2021. 
●Since fiscal year 2019, we have switched the fuel used for our air conditioning and hot water supply equipment from heavy fuel oil (A) to electric power. Based on our 2019 performance, we reduced CO2 emissions by 706 tons compared to 2018.
Waste reduction 
●As a beach resort, we consider marine environmental protection to be our top priority.
   We also incorporate microbead-free amenities into our selection of in-room amenities. 
●We purchase ingredients whole whenever possible and use them completely to minimize food waste.

Restoration of marine and coastal ecosystems  
●The Seto Inland Sea National Park was the first national park designated in Japan. The Naruto Strait, located within this park, is a major migration route for wild birds, including hawks. From an environmental conservation perspective, we refrain from illuminating the sea, including the Great Naruto Bridge. 
Measures to conserve paper resources  
●The tissues in the guest rooms are made from FSC® certified paper, recommended by the WWF to protect the world's forests. The toilet paper is made from recycled pulp from paper cartons.

We provide a venue for the Naruto City Awa Odori Promotion Association, allowing visitors to experience authentic Awa Odori dance, and we also cooperate with local industries through activities such as harvesting Naruto sweet potatoes and Naruto wakame seaweed, and experiencing traditional crafts such as indigo dyeing and Otani pottery.

While maternity leave and childcare leave are taken at a high rate, we are working to meet the diverse work style needs of our staff when they return to work after childcare leave.
